The staff were all friendly. Everybody engaged with me, and made me feel comfortable. The hygienist Andrea was beyond amazing! Rachel was so sweet while doing my X-rays, and even though I didn’t spend much time with Dr. Minjares, she was still so kind.

Dr. Monica Minjares was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. She graduated as a registered dental hygienist in 2004 and worked in Arizona as a hygienist until she entered dental school. In 2014, she achieved her Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree from Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine - Arizona. With over 15 years of experience working in dental offices, and as a dentist since 2014 in the State of Florida, Dr. Minjares is more than just a general dentist. She has developed advanced skills using digital dental technology, implant restorations, and oral surgery. She has attended many post-doctorate lectures and hands-on workshops across the nation.
“I strive to be a caring, compassionate dentist who provides the highest quality of care with gentleness,” says Minjares. “I am motivated to develop and stay current with the latest technology and additional skill sets in order to provide patients with best care possible. Developing long term relationships with patients and the entire care team in an environment of comfort and exceptional service is very important to me.”

Dr. Minjares was friendly and timely, but failed to explain all of my potential treatment options for the ailment I came in for. It felt like I was pulling teeth, pun intended, trying to make Dr, Minjares explain both WHAT my issue was, and HOW I could potentially fix it. Having to ask so many questions to get comfortable with my issue and possible solutions made me feel like Dr. Minjares had a narrow understanding of dental treatment options, which is SCARY! I trust my healthcare providers to explain ALL OPTIONS available without having to ask a million questions.

Although the staff was friendly and the facility was clean, this wasn't a great first visit. I had scheduled a "cleaning" through ZocDoc but (after nearly two hours in the office) all I received was a check-up, a perio-probing, and some x-rays. After all that, they told me I would have to wait another hour to receive a cleaning. This was a surprise, and, of course I hadn't blocked 4 hours out of my morning for the dentist, so I declined and went to work. When I looked at their recommended services for my follow-up appointments, I found that they had recommended several desensitizing services not covered by my insurance. Overall, I did not get good vibes from this practice. I've already scheduled another visit somewhere else.
