Dr. Forster was born and raised in Washington, D.C. After serving in the U.S. Army he attended Haverford College and graduated from Temple University School of Dentistry in 1964. He has since practiced dentistry in the Washington area. He has been a volunteer firefighter and emergency medical technician with the Rockville Volunteer Fire Department since 1972. He has been a CPR instructor since 1981 both in the Rockville area and dental community.
Dr. Forster has Volunteered in the community by donating his services to Head Start, D.C. Public School System, Whitman Walker Clinic, and the International Rescue Committee.
