Ora Rosenfeld Canter has been practicing Orthodontics in the Queens area for the past ten years. After graduating Summa Cum Laude from Queens College, she was awarded a full scholarship to NYU College of Dentistry. She then elected to pursue an additional three year program in the specialty of Orthodontics at Stonybrook University. As one of only three residents selected for each class, she received top notch training which has provided a strong background with which to tackle even the most challenging of cases.
Dr. Canter has this to say: “Orthodontics has provided the perfect combination of art,science, and precision to detail that I have come to love about dentistry .The development of new modalities of treatment has kept the field interesting and exciting as varying segments of the population have discovered a renewed interest in treatment. Orthodontics is no longer exclusively for kids. Adults of all ages have come to appreciate the benefits of treatment. I enjoy working with people at all different stages of life, working together to improve their smile and enhance their self esteem in the process.”
She was trained in traditional brackets of all kinds and also received Invisalign Certification upon graduation. She stays involved in both the general and specialty member organizations to stay abreast of all the current developments towards the goal of achieving excellence and increasingly superior results.
Blessed with four young children of her own, she is familiar with the sometimes harrying routine of parents and youngsters alike. She strives to be sensitive and accommodating, keeping in mind that it is to everyone’s advantage to keep treatment on track and running smoothly so progress can be achieved efficiently.

I waited 20 minutes. She actually book another appointment 10 minutes after mine. When she realized I didn't want braces I wanted invisiline her whole attitude was changed , she put the mold in my mouth than she told me to clean myself up. She didn't even give a paper towel until I asked for one . Since I wasn't going to bring her enough revenue she tried to get rid of me as quick as she can to take next patient . Office was so dirty and unorganized. There was a 15 year old girl employed to clean equipment which I don't know how to trust that hygiene either. Between two appointments total time I spend in the chair was 15 minutes. Only time she smiled at me , she said please write a review . Here is your review you asked for Dr Canter
