I was so pleased with my visit today! Everyone was super friendly and professional. I have some anxiety when it comes to a dentist visit, but they put me at ease and did a wonderful job with my initial visit and cleaning.

Dr. Contos was easily the kindest dentist I've ever been to BY FAR. He and the other assistants explained everything they were going to do before they did it, they knew how much things were on my insurance and were able to figure out my long forgotten orthodontics treatment from when I was a kid. I was also in and out in an hour which was incredibly prompt. I'm very nervous in the dentist but he encouraged deep breathing and "zen moments" to help me deal with it in stages so I wouldn't become to stressed out. I cannot recommend the office enough.

Forty years ago, Dr. Aristides Contos opened the doors of Contos Smile Center with a plan to serve his community by providing the highest quality of care in a warm, caring, and friendly environment—free from the fear and judgment so many patients experience. A graduate of the University of Illinois, Chicago, with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, Dr. Contos built a practice grounded in compassion and excellence.
Today, along with his son Dr. Peter and Dr. Peter’s wife, Dr. Maria Sinis, Contos Smile Center continues to fulfill Dr. Aristides’ vision. While we have adopted new services and technologies to elevate our patient care, we maintain the environment of quality care and compassion that has made Contos Smile Center the premier dental practice in Rogers Park for over 40 years!

Everyone at the office was extremely friendly. The dental hygienist and dentist were very clear at communicating what was going on and asked me questions. I generally have initial fears of going to the dentist after a bad experience, and all of the staff put me right at ease. I highly recommend!

I cannot stress what an amazing bunch of wonderful people are at this office. Hands down the nicest, friendliest, knowledgable group I have ever encountered at a dentist office. I brought in two college students home on break and they were soooo accommodating and just pleasant ! Dentists came out and talked to me and I never ever got the impression it’s all about the money. I would highly recommend !!!!

I've always hated going to the dentist, but this time the experience was MUCH better than my experiences with other dentists in the past. It had been 5+ years since I've been to a dentist so I searched for one that has good bedside manner and wouldn't deter me from regularly getting checked up. I needed some fillings of course after all that time, and repairs on some old ones, but overall my visits were superb. The staff were very friendly and professional, and there was no wait time. Dr. Contos talks you through everything he's doing in a calming manner and is always aware of any discomfort you might feel. He also gives 100% effort, even if your teeth aren't in the best shape. I've had previous dentists that did a haphazard job, and the fillings were rough and not at all smooth and flush with the rest of the tooth because they assume you don't care rather than that the lack of perfection was due to other reasons (mental illness in my case). Would recommend Dr. Contos and his team 110%

Very informative, relaxing environment, cool tools to get an awesome in depth look at your dental health, excellent dental assistants, staff, and Dr. Contos is personable and educational. No pressure to get cosmetic procedures, etc., it’s up to you. Wonderful dental experience, would highly recommend.

My visits with Dr. Contos are always enjoyable. The staff is friendly, efficient and accomodating. They gave me good advice how to take care of my teeth since I have braces and it can be a challenge. They also gave me a lot of free stuff too!
