A native Coloradan, Dr. Henzlik had some adventures in the Northwest before deciding he was ready to move back home to serve the Evergreen community. Today, he loves how fast dentistry evolves to become more painless, precise, and efficient. The advancement of technologies like same-day crowns, 3D-printed nightguards, dental implant surgical guides, and more have made it so easy to deliver top-quality care to patients!
When Dr. Henzlik was in the 2nd grade, he thought his grandpa was the funniest person ever. In fact, in his little kid mind, he thought it would be cool if he became a dentist so he could work in the very same office as his grandpa every day. He wanted to be like him so badly that it turned dentistry into his lifelong career! Today, with his grandpa having been retired for almost 20 years, he still has absolutely no regrets about choosing this path.
After attending the University of Wyoming (GO COWBOYS), where he played four years of Division I Golf, Dr. Henzlik achieved his dental doctorate at Oregon Health & Sciences University in Portland. Following graduation, he had the amazing opportunity to serve as a dentist in the US Army DENTAC, where he became Captain Henzlik and cared for soldiers at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Tacoma, WA. Since leaving the service, he’s continued to further his skillset with advanced training in dental implants, implant-retained dentures, 3D printing-based dentistry, and Invisalign. He feels truly blessed to have had so many amazing mentors over the years who’ve helped him deliver specialized care to his valued patients.
Dr. Henzlik’s parents are still thriving in Rapid City, while his sister Mikala (a pharmacist and registered dietician) currently lives in Sioux Falls. His grandpa still lives in Lafayette as well! He and his fiancé Lauren are getting married in September of 2020, and she is truly the best thing that’s happened to him. As a pair, they love to train run, mountain bike, road bike, and play their guitars together. Being outside and exploring the beauty of Colorado is always one of his top priorities. They also care a great deal about staying involved with the local community and their church.
