My practice philosophy is ''Dentistry is my profession but people are my focus''. As a child I always knew I belonged to the healthcare industry. Growing up I saw my father as my greatest inspiration. Being a physician, he would always alleviate people's problems and hence made a huge impact in their lives. I always wanted to carry his legacy. When I was sixteen, I was impressed when my orthodontist transformed my smile and changed the way the world looked at me. I felt this profession will let me take care of people in a special way and also make a big difference in their lives.
I graduated with a DDS degree from the prestigious UCSF School of Dentistry in 2005. Thereafter I have worked at multiple dental offices in the bay area for seven years. I have completed a residency program in full mouth Reconstruction and Aesthetic Dentistry from Esthetic Professionals, LA in 2012. There I received advanced training in porcelain work such as inlays, onlays, veneers and crowns. I can also recreate the bite if the teeth are worn off. I am a member of American Dental Association, California Dental Association and Contra Costa Dental Society. I am also in the process of getting my fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry.
I believe in constant improvisation and like to stay abreast with the latest techniques and technologies. We are state of the art office with complete digitalization to help patients co-diagnose what we see, so they can make informed decisions about their teeth. We use the STA system for local anesthesia, which is a computer controlled delivery system that enhances patient's comfort level.

This was the first time that I went to see Dr. Malik. I needed my bridge crown redone and Dr. Malik was just awesome! I had some issue with the bridge but she took her time to work with me and with my insurance, and my schedule.
Honest dentist with high integrity and value for long term relationship. Great Dentist in town!

Dr. Malik is one of the most patient, kind, and caring doctors I have ever been too. Her clinic is clean, bright and welcoming. I had a very bad tooth that needed a root canal and Dr Malik did such an awesome job. She explained the entire process to me, walked me through each step and helped me understand exactly what to expect. My tooth is now as good as new and painless! Dr Malik is now our family dentist and I would not dream of switching to anyone else. I highly recommend her to my family, friends, and colleagues.

In general the staff were very pleasant.
In terms of professional aptitude and care during the procedures performed I was very happy. Despite my remarks at the end of the review I will return if I stay in the area. I had a cleaning and periodic exam rather than the comprehensive exam that a patient can have once a year. My last comprehensive exam was 2012 and I have had no symptoms for warning sides of a problem.
I got a lot of grief for ordering just the fluoride and basic cleaning. The doctor insisted that I was making her perform substandard care and I had a sign a waiver saying I had made the choice to go against the doctor's suggested care and was therefore choosing to place my health at risk. Let us not forget that preventative dental care is elective. Her approach was demeaning and made me feel that I wasn't a customer, but an uninformed patient to be chided. It was awful.

I was treated with extra care. Teh doctor is an excellent provider. She explained my problems in great details and gave great recommendations. The facility is clean and staff extremely professional. I filled my information online and did not have to carry bulky papers and sheets and wait for printing to complete. I am really happy with the service.

Saw the doctor for a general cleaning that included a periodic exam, rather than the full blown comprehensive exam with gum poking or x-rays. They do use bite wings for the x-rays.
Appreciated that all the staff were very friendly and courteous.
Dr. Malik was extremely gentle and it doesn't seem that resulted in any lack of effectiveness. I appreciate this very much.
The office did seem a little scattered mainly because the dental assistant/hygenist was in and out of the appointment. It would have been nice to know what the last step of the cleaning was for. I don't think I've ever had a vaneer applied so I didn't know the purpose and the purpose doesn't seem obvious because the veneer applied was sticky and the stickiness transferred to my lips and then face and hands because I had touched my lips. I could still eat, but I was to say away from hard and sticky food items. So I just wasn't sure how it could help. I'll have to google it now.
Again, I liked Dr. Malik's care very much and will see her again if I stay in the area.
