I went to Dr. Goshtasbi after 3 years without a teeth cleaning. Before the appt, the office already had my insurance information and let me know that my insurance covered everything at this visit. After the normal x-rays and gum measurements, Dr. Goshtasbi took the time to explain to me what he found, both current and potential problems with my teeth, and we discussed different options before the cleaning. Because it was my first cleaning Dr. Goshtabsi did the cleaning himself. At the end, he explained to me the costs for the different treatment options we discussed with my insurance and how to further reduce costs on a retainer. Overall, everyone in the office was friendly; I am glad I chose Dr. Goshtasbi and wish I had made the appt sooner.

Dr. Ramin Goshtasbi is a native San Diegan. He lives with his wife in Scripps Ranch, California. He comes from a family history of dentists and physicians, including his father and sister. It was watching his sister in dental school that made him realize he wanted to serve society as a friendly, gentle dentist.
Dr. Goshtasbi graduated from Torrey Pines High School and received his undergraduate degree in biology from San Diego State University. He then went on to pursue his long dream of becoming a dentist. He obtained his degree of doctor of dental surgery from New York University, where, among other accolades, he was top ranked in clinical dentistry.
Dr. Goshtasbi strives to always continue his education process so that his patients receive the most comprehensive and best care possible in a warm and gentle manner. He has trained extensively in implant and cosmetic dentistry as well as Invisalign, resulting in many units of continuuing dental education a year. This far exceeds the 50 units per two years required by the California Dental Board.
In his free time Dr. Goshtasbi performs community service by donating his expertise as a dentist to those in need. This makes Dr. Goshtasbi realize that the economic market may make it hard for many well-deserving patients in need of quality dental care to afford such care. His comprehensive training makes it possible for Dr. Goshtasbi to keep costs down for patients by performing many treatments that most other dentists would refer out to a costly specialist. In addition, in yet another effort to keep costs down for patients, Dr. Goshtasbi has partnered with a board certified periodontist for certain periodontal case.
