Dr. Ron Hessamfar is a leading orthodontist in the Washington DC Metropolitan area and serves patients at three locations, Ashburn, Woodbridge and Arlington. At his practices, Broadlands Orthodontics & American Braces and Smile Center, Dr. Hessamfar offers patients advanced treatments for alignment, crowding and dento-facial orthopedics. These treatments include many jaw correcting appliances as well as metal braces, self-ligating braces, aesthetic options, clear and porcelain braces and Invisalign which are less noticeable when worn.
Dr. Hessamfar studied his undergraduate education at the University of Maryland- College Park in 1992. He went on to receive his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Dental Medicine in 1996. At the Lancaster Cleft Palate Clinic, Dr. Hessamfar completed an Advanced Education in General Dentisry (AEGD) residency where he worked with a variety of patients including those with craniofacial disorders. He has held a faculty position at the Lancaster clinic and began to practice private general dentistry. In 2001, Dr. Hessamfar completed a specialty program in orthodontics and received a Master’s of Science degree in Oral Biology from University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey after three years.
At Broadlands Orthodontics & American Braces and Smile Center, Dr. Hessamfar provides patients with state-of-the-art treatments designed to correct a variety of structural and alignment issues. He is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of orthodontic care, with advanced technologies at his practices where he evaluates each patient’s precise needs in order to design unique treatment plans which can promise the best possible results.
