Dr. Ricardo Carrillo was born in Lima, Peru. In 2005, he earned both his Bachelor in Dentistry and Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the National University of San Marcos in Lima. Committed to staying informed of new technologies and techniques, Dr. Carrillo continued his education in Endodontics in Lima, and in Restorative and Cosmetic Dentistry (Dentistica) at the University of Maringa (UNINGA) in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He also completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program (AEGD) at the University of Florida and an Implant Fellowship Program at the NYU Linhart Continuing Dental Education Program. Through his extensive education in dentistry, he discovered his passion for serving patients.
With more than 14 years of experience, and fluency in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, Dr. Carrillo has practiced dentistry in private dental offices in different countries. His focus is on comprehensive dentistry, improving the quality of his patients’ lives with a holistic approach to dental care. Due to his extensive training and experience, Dr. Carrillo has become an expert in diagnosis, comprehensive treatment planning, digital smile design, restorative and cosmetic dentistry, endodontics, and implant placement. He believes in making dental visits an enjoyable and comfortable experience where every patient leaves with a healthy and confident smile.
Above all, Dr. Carrillo enjoys spending time with his close friends and family– especially his adorable kids Matias and Nicole. He loves Peruvian food, going to the beach, playing soccer, traveling, and knowing the different cultures of the world. He is thankful to God for every moment and for all the blessings in his life. He always strives to give his best to the community and his patients.

Waited 45 minutes only to be rushed through my procedures. Doctor didn’t explain anything had zero bedside manner and the dental hygienist hurt me several times during my cleaning and kept saying “you’re fine you’re fine”. The receptionists would speak in English and then make eye contact with me and switch to Portuguese. I knew they were talking about me it’s just rude. After I finally gave up waiting and asked to have my fee refunded so I could go I was then rushed into the room promising I’d be finished by my original end time. Then I could here the receptionist yelling at the doctor: “I said he would be out by 3! Get in there and do it as quick as you can”. Truly miserable experience. Unprofessional and messy.

After confirming over the phone that this provider accepted my insurance and making the appointment weeks in advance while also providing my member ID over the phone, I drove 30 minutes and paid tolls and took PTO hours from work only to be told that actually, they do not accept my insurance. Would never recommend for the simple fact that they wasted my time, money, and now I need to find a different dentist and start a process over again because staff cannot do their jobs properly.

They try to make you undergo on unnecessary procedures to get more money. They take advantage of people with good insurance (the dentist even mentioned it). I was ridiculously overcharged and they said they would refund me after getting paid by my insurance. That never happened

DONT GO! They care note about taking their lunch together than servicing a customer that has an appointment and was literally in the chair. I scheduled an 11 AM Appt, X-rays took an hr, and then they were to start my cleaning. But not before the young lady recognizes its after 12 o’clock, her “lunch hour” and has the nerve to request I come back after they finish. First and LAST impression. As a paying customer, it’s clear my time meant nothing to them.
