About Dr. Richard Reso
I’ve always wanted to help people. Dentistry has been a rewarding vocation because it allows me to use my scientific background (I received a degree in chemistry from Rutgers University) and to make a difference in the way people feel.
After receiving my DMD from Fairleigh Dickinson, I practiced in Bound Brook, NJ at a busy office for several years. I then opened Valley Dental, my private practice in Hopewell, NJ. Since then, I’ve been developing my skills as a dentist by taking advanced courses in periodontics and implants.
I’ve been a dentist for more than 30 years—20 of them in Hopewell. I’ve found that my profession can be very fulfilling. To get a person out of pain who is having a toothache makes them feel better but it also makes me feel better. To witness the joy in someone when they see their restored teeth is priceless.

He was great. Every dentist I’ve seen never gets me numb enough and I always end up in pain. Dr. Reso made sure I was completely numb for my root canal. Today is day 2 and I feel no pain. Will definitely be going back

I had a great visit. I went for a cleaning and consultation. The staff was friendly and efficient. The dentist knowledgeable and Thorough. He asked me about my concerns, performed my cleaning, completed a full set of X-rays, discussed my problem areas and mapped out a course of action to take care of them over time. He did not try to encourage me to do unnecessary procedures to make a quick buck (like at my last dentist office). I was pleased.

I had put off going to the dentist for about 2 years (because my old one was such a jerk) and Dr. Reso didn’t make me feel guilty or embarrassed at all! He took care of all of my concerns and it took barely any time at all. I won’t dread going to the dentist anymore!
