Dr. Robin Simonton joined Dr. Steinberg and his staff in 2012. She graduated from Michigan State University in 2004, majoring in Human Biology. She then earned her DDS from the University Of Detroit Mercy School Of Dentistry in 2009. In her senior year at UDM, Dr. Simonton was honored with the International College of Dentists Leadership Award, and was nominated for the prestigious Francis B. Vedder Society Crown and Bridge Award.
After graduation from the University of Detroit Mercy, Dr. Simonton was accepted into a General Practice Residency (GPR) at the University of Toledo Medical Center where she practiced dentistry at the hospital, the VA dental clinic and at a group home for patients with special needs. Beyond the average skills required for general dentistry, her GPR also provided experience treating medically compromised patients and trauma patients with advanced surgical needs.
Completing the General Practice Residency in Toledo provided Dr. Simonton with 150 hours of continuing education in all aspects of dentistry. In addition to the GPR, she has also completed continuing education in Invisalign, Clear Correct (invisible braces), implant dentistry and various aspects of cosmetic and restorative dentistry.
Dr. Simonton is happily married and recently welcomed a baby boy. Together they live as animal lovers with their two dogs and two cats. They enjoy being outdoors and spending time with family and friends.
