More about Dr. Roy V. Forbes, DMD, MAGD
Dr. Roy Forbes founded his dental practice in Englewood, New Jersey in 1976 with the hope of being the best dentist he could be. Shortly afterwards he had a thriving multi ethnic practice with patients from all over the world. He dedicated himself to life long learning and established an excellent hi-tech office with an excellent staff in a warm, caring environment. His goal was to treat his patients as if he was a patient in a painless and relaxing atmosphere.
Dr. Forbes was educated at West Indies College. He later attended Boston University where he received a bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. He also attended Northeastern University in Boston where he received a Master of Science degree in Microbiology. While he attended Northeastern University he taught the nursing students and in so doing developed a love for teaching. He was inspired by his dentist and so he attended Fairleigh Dickinson University School of Dentistry in New Jersey and received a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. He graduated in the top 5% of his class with honors and was nominated into Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) honor dental society.
After graduation Dr. Forbes completed a dental residency at French and Polyclinic Hospital and Medical Center in New York city. He formerly taught dental residents at Cabrini Hospital and Medical Center. He is currently an active attending dentist at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center since 1981 where he also taught dental residents. Because of Dr. Forbes' extensive life long learning and taking hundreds of hours of continuing education courses, he was nominated to be a Master of the Academy of General Dentistry (M.A.G.D).
