I Iwould definitely recommend Dr. Hartvigsen. He has all of the qualities a good dentist needs. He is competent, kind, gentle and always polite. He is caring. Yesterday I had trouble with a crown and he took all the time needed to fix it to his and as a result my satisfaction. I spent the first part of my adult life afraid of dentists and the pain. It is not like that with Dr Hartvigsen. I have gone to him for many years and will continue!

Dr. Hartvigsen is caring and very professional. He asked me, throughout my crown prep, if I was doing okay and if/when I needed a break. He did great work, and I'm extremely pleased with the results.

Dr. Hartvigsen is a graduate of Northwestern University in Chicago. His has two undergraduate degrees from the University of Utah in Biology and Pharmacy. After receiving his DDS degree he enlisted in the U.S. Army and spent 3 years in Germany before requesting his next assignment to be at Ft. Huachuca to check out southern Arizona. Deciding he liked the great Arizona climate and life style he transferred from active duty to an Army Hospital Reserve Unit to continue to serve the country and at the same time start his private dental practice in Tucson.
Besides his love of Dentistry, Dr. Hartvigsen is a farm boy from Idaho and his love of the outdoors and farming is the motivation for him to continue with his two brothers to farm the original homestead owned by his great-grandfather. Dr. Hartvigsen / Farmer Hartvigsen continues to spend part of each month in the summer driving that tractor and “fixing those fences” in Southeastern Idaho.
Dr. Hartvigsen is a devoted family man who knows that families are forever. He and his wife Anna have 3 children and 7 grandchildren who bring joy and a lot of laughs into his life. Dr. Hartvigsen has a strong interest in Family History and Genealogy and if you’re interested he’ll help you look into yours while you are waiting for your tooth to get “numbed up”.
Dr. Hartvigsen is a member of the American Dental Association and it’s affiliates in the State of Arizona. He is also a member of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences and the American Society of Forensic Odontology.
Dr. Hartvigsen knows the importance of the relationship between good oral health and overall general health. It is the goal of his office to educate and motivate each of his patients to appreciate that connection so they can enjoy life with good health. Our office provides general, cosmetic, restorative and preventive dental care for the entire family which can include Invisalign orthodontics if needed.

I needed 2 fillings. There was absolutely no pain even with the injection. Dr. Hartvigsen and his assistant were friendly and did an excellent job.
