Dr. Epakchi is a gentle, caring dentist who uses the most advanced materials & procedures available. He practices comfortable, health-centered dentistry with a strong emphasis on getting to know each of his patients. In addition to his technical proficiency, Dr. Epakchi is a careful listener & will explain beforehand which treatment is best for your individual needs.
Dr. Epakchi received his doctorate from Boston University in 1993. He started a practice in Brooklyn, which still is seeing patients today. After he was in Brooklyn, Dr. Epakchi took over a practice in Hicksville in 1997 and in Plainview in 1999. Being raised and a current resident of Huntington, he wanted to always practice dentistry in his hometown. He recently sold those practices and has now joined Dr. Berg in Huntington. Dr. Berg & Dr. Epakchi’s office is now called Smile Huntington.
Dr. Epakchi has always valued the importance of continuing to learn and expand the services being offered at his office. He has taken many continuing education courses, including those from the LVI (Las Vegas Institute)& The Pankey Institute. Dr. Epakchi is a member of the American Dental Association, the Suffolk County Dental Society & the New York State Dental Association. He is also a member of The Academy of General Dentistry and due to his numerous hours of continuing education, he is eligible to become a FAGD. This will make Dr. Epakchi a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, a very prestigious association and level of membership.

The receptionist told us that our insurance was accepted; it was not (she no longer works there). I pay for dental insurance (delta dental). There is no reason that I, nor anyone that pays for dental insurance, would pay out of pocket for any dental treatments that would be covered entirely by another dentist. Our former dentist retired and we were in search of a new dentist. My husband and I visited a total of five times, (consultation, cleaning, cavity/bonding treatment) all without any bill or mention of a bill. We were sent a huge bill after we were lured back in and already treated. The staff members are unprofessional. They flat out lied to us and racked up the bill.

He knew I was a patient with a bad phobia of the dentist, basically scared to death. He made me feel at ease from start to finish !

I left a message with Dr. Epakchi's office on Friday asking to be fitted in for a dental emergency. I received a call back from Marisol who fit me in for a Saturday appointment. I was seen right away, no wait time. Dr. E and his staff are Awesome!!!
