A person’s smile can affect their entire outlook on life. Being part of a profession that helps people achieve this is very special. Creating smiles for children and adults requires meticulous attention to detail as well as an artistic eye and this always intrigued me. Orthodontics has evolved tremendously since my childhood and no longer is the “metal tracks” the only option. Being a certified Invisalign and Icognito (lingual braces) provider, I can give patients numerous options to achieve a straighter and healthier smile.
As a native of New York City, my heart was set on starting my career in the city I call home. After completing my Bachelor of Sciences with honors from Cornell University, I pursued my doctorate in dentistry at Stony Brook University. This was also where I completed my specialty residency in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics, after which I went on to become a board certified orthodontist.
Practicing in New York City not only allows me to collaborate with some of the most talented dentists in the world but also attend and even lecture in various study clubs. In addition, my faculty appointment at New York University helps keep me on the forefront of my field and train future dentists in orthodontics.
My wife, Zehra, my son, Rohin, and I enjoy living in Manhattan and taking advantage of all it has to offer – the parks, museums, shows, and restaurants. We are as much a part of the city as it is a part of us.

Dr. Mathew and Rita were wonderful during our consultation for Invisalign for my son. Dr. Mathew was thorough in his explanations and answered all our questions without making us feel rushed or obligated. Rita was so helpful in breaking down the costs for us and returned my call promptly when I had another question. We are happy to have found a facility that is a balance between professional/capable and friendly/caring and look forward to starting our son's orthodontic care with Dr. Mathew next week.

It was a great experience. Dr. Mathew is really nice and explained every option to me clearly. I had a lot of questions and had everything answered. I will definitely recommend him to anyone. I hate going to the dentist because I have low pain tolerance but the overall experience being great helped a lot.

Dr. Mathew is great! My daughter has braces from him and he is so understanding and takes great pride in his work. He always makes it a point to review with me what was done and how her teeth are progressing. Highly recommend his office.

I just finished my Invisalign treatment. Dr. Mathew and his staff are the best from start to finish! He is professional, courteous, and does not keep you waiting. He gave me a great smile in less than a year. The best orthodontist in town!

Very quick - they called me before my appointment to see if I had wanted to come in earlier (because the next available appointment was in a week and a half) which got me in to see Dr. Mathew in two days. The office staff are very friendly and Dr. Mathew was as well.

I am currently having my Invisalign treatment with Dr. Mathew and I could not be happier. He and his staff makes everything so easy. Be it making appointments, rescheduling, and checking my insurance. I wish all offices were like this. I have told many friends about the exceptional experience I have had.
