Dr. Deckard is an enthusiastic and compassionate general dentist who enjoys treating patients of all ages. Her priority has always been to provide comprehensive, high-quality care in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. As a patient and caring practitioner, she treats all her patients with respect and consideration.
Dr. Deckard received her Doctor of Dental Medicine from Tufts University. During her studies, she was awarded the Joseph R. Evans Award for the Most Distinguished Achievement in Clinical Operative Dentistry, the Tufts University Tiberi Scholarship, and the Pre-Dental Mascolo Award.
Passionate about treating the whole patient, Dr. Deckard has pursued extensive continuing education to provide dental care that considers the patient’s overall health. Her dedication to this end has led her to become a member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, the ADA, the Massachusetts and Maryland Dental Societies, and multiple dental study clubs. Additionally, she achieved Alumni and Scholar Status at the Dawson Academy for Occlusion and Complete Care Dentistry. A Dawson dentist is one who has dedicated many hours of postgraduate education to learn how to care for patients at the highest ethical and professional level, and is trained in an analysis of the TMJ (jaw joints) to help patients achieve a comfortable bite and peaceful neuromuscular system.
Most recently, Dr. Deckard completed the AMR residency at the Raphael Center for Integrative Orthodontics and Airway Focused Dentistry and continues her education with courses focusing on functional dental care.
Outside the office, she is an avid painter and prides herself on her cooking skills. She especially enjoys preparing her family’s traditional Italian recipes and exploring world cuisine. Originally from New York, she thoroughly enjoys the great outdoors of the DMV, swimming, and hiking with her fam
