Dr. Amer graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1980. He also attended the University of Pennsylvania as an undergrad, receiving his Bachelor of Science in biology and a minor in sociology.
Desiring to further his education and his love of pediatrics, Dr. Scott finished a specialty degree at New York-Presbyterian Columbia University Medical Center Hospital in New York City. Dr. Scott went back to his hometown of Hewlett to open his office for children over 35 years ago. He has been in his current location for 20 years. Since he began practicing dentistry, Dr. Scott has kept up to date on many continuing educational classes, ensuring that his patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced dental care. When he’s out of the office, Dr. Scott likes to spend time with his wife Yvon, and together they have raised three pediatric dental patients of their own (who are all out of the house). On any given Sunday, you may find Dr. Scott on the softball field.
