Raised in Severna Park, MD, Dr. Samad is the proud son of Fred and Mary Samad, a working class couple that raised their children in a humble household. Dr. Samad grew up to be an avid sports fan. He still plays soccer regularly and is a HUGE Ravens fan!
Dr. Samad went to college in Westminster, MD, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree with majors in Biology and Chemistry, and a special focus on physics. He then continued his education at UMBC where he worked on a Masters degree in Biology. He then attended University of Maryland School of Dentistry where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery(DDS) degree. He has received extensive training and experience in Endodontics(Root Canals), Oral Surgery, Implantology, and Invisalign Orthodontics.
His belief is Knowledge is Success!! Dr. Samad is still continuing education himself regularly in the newest, latest and greatest techniques and technology to improve his practice. His modo in his work is, “Changing lives, one tooth at a time.” Come on in and meet him. You won’t be dis appointed!

Dr. Samad was nice and friendly and quickly addressed my issue but this was after a long wait. I spent about 15 min out front and then another 30 minutes waiting for the Doctor. The office seemed to be in disarray today. This was my first time here and it could have just been an off day but I didn’t feel welcomed upon arrival. The reception staff was fussy and complaining about work related issues, very unprofessional. I do plan to return because the office was nice and clean and Dr. Samad was nice! I want to give this office another shot because it is so close to home.

I have tooth canal and crown same day. Believes me doing to Denist is the my worst nightmare. But Dr. Samad and his staff..make me feel less anixty and tooth canal and crown it not that pain full as i thought be. Thankyou

Dr.(DDS) Samad is excellent. He has done several procedures, root canal, veneers, fillings etc. on my teeth. I was very hesitant about the root canal, but I did not feel any pain at all. My veneers look just beautiful and amazingly were made and completed right in his office.
Dr. Samad has a nice manner about him and always makes me feel comfortable. His entire staff is very efficient and friendly. It is a pleasure to go to his dental office and I would recommend DDS Samad to anyone who values superior dental work.

I recently switched to this dental office after my long time DR. died and the practice was sold. After a few bad experiences with the old office I had frequented for years, I knew it was time to jump back into the agonizing hunt of finding a new doctor. After reading several reviews I selected this office. The office is nicely decorate, the staff is friendly, the Dr. is knowledgeable and the pricing was better and I didn't feel like I was being price gouged. I would highly recommend this off for anyone looking for a new dentist.

I LOVED my hygienist, Cambria! She was so sweet and personable. She did a great job cleaning my teeth and was gentle. You can tell she loves what she does. Dr Shawn is also very personable. He told me what his concerns were for my teeth, what needed to be done right away and what could wait. He made sure to mention everything just so I would know, but also left the decision up to me on how to proceed. I ended up needing a root canal and a cap. I will write another review once it's done.

Easiest root canal and crown ever! Only took 1 hour to have a custom crown made on the spot. I highly recommend this dentistry. All the dentists and staff are super friendly and attentive to their clients. A+++

Dr. Samad removed a very old filling which was leaking and breaking down. He drilled out some decay under the filling, but was able to save enough tooth to avoid a root canal!! His computer assisted in creating and manufacturing the crown right in the office. After it "baked" for 40-45 minutes, it was ready for installation, which he did in just a few minutes. No temporary crown was needed, and no return visit for installation of a remotely manufactured crown. It was "state of the art" technology, expertly applied.

This is the second time I have gone to him. The first time he discovered three cavities after I had had my teeth cleaned. This appointment was to fix one of the cavities and I was very impressed with him. He is both very professional and very friendly. I will be going back to him next week to fix the other two cavities that are on the other side of my mouth.
