I was pleasantly surprised by the staff, the office atmosphere and the care I received. I had a lot of questions and felt comfortable asking them and receiving knowledgeable information back. This is my first time in a new dental facility in over 15 years and I felt confident with the care I received. I am definitely going back to finish the process and work with her to get my smile back again. Thank you for being so thoughtful, insightful and caring. As a new patient, that goes a very long way.

More about Dr. Shwey-Chun (Poly) Ma, DDS, DMD
Dr. Ma earned her first dental degree, D.D.S., from National Taiwan University in 1993. She completed 4-year residency training at National Taiwan University Hospital, Department of Dentistry from 1993 to 1997. Then she moved to the States, attended University of Pennsylvania and earned her American dental degree, D.M.D., in 2000. Inspired and encouraged by her instructor at Penn, she then applied and was accepted by the world-renowned prosthodontics specialty program at the University of Washington. After 3 and half years of additional study, she received the certificate in Prosthodontics and her Master’s Degree in 2004.
After graduating, she stayed on as full-time faculty member at UW. She was a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry, Division of Prosthodontics from 2004 to 2008. The courses she was responsible of teaching included Introduction to Complete Dentures (Course director); Clinical Complete Dentures (Course director); Removable Partial Denture Design (Instructor); Removable Partial Denture Clinical Preparatory Course (Instructor); Clinical Prosthodontics (Instructor); Clinical Prosthodontic Maintenance (Instructor); Implant Dentistry (Advisor); Clinical Restorative Dentistry (Instructor); Advanced Clinical Restorative Dentistry (Instructor). While teaching, Dr. Ma also maintained a part-time private practice in Edmonds area till 2012. In October 2012, she took over Dr. Dean Irwin's office and started her own full-time private practice in Seattle's Lake City area.
