I don't want to leave my specific appointment date, but I was seen in May 2016. Everybody in the office was polite, and I'd describe the atmosphere as cozy, being that it's part of a duplex home. Unfortunately, that's really where my positives end.
It was a standard cleaning, and I'm a regular brusher/flosser, non-smoker/soda or coffee drinker, etc., so I wasn't expecting much. The assistant did her best, but the equipment seemed outdated compared to what I've experienced recently and she wasn't particularly skilled. I nearly gagged on a couple occasions during the x-rays as she tried to get the sensor in the right positions. After that, the cleaning with the brush felt so-so.
Dr. Garber, while again polite, also didn't strike me as particularly skilled. The cleaning with the scrapers was a bit of a hack job; it didn't seem systematic, and I spit little pieces of my gums out with every rinse. What's more, I only rinsed because saliva was building constantly in my mouth and nobody bothered to use the suction tool. I had to sit up in the middle of the cleaning to do it myself.
Again, I hate to leave a negative review because the bedside manner, ease of appointment and wait time were all satisfactory, but if this is the norm, I can see why the latter two are what they are.

I had an emergency visit for a fractured tooth and was at his office 30 minutes after my call...Dr. Garber saw me right away.He explained what needed to be done ..Made me feel comfortable..I always liked his worked and now I am thankful he was there for me during this emergency visit..

Such an amazing Dentist! So kind, patient and sweet!!!! Always does such an amazing job! He really makes sure that you are comfortable before he begins to work. I have always had horrible anxiety attacks when at others dentist's in the past. After my friend told me about Dr. Garber fixing her cavities, I thought I would try his office. Dr. G has now filled 3 huge deep cavities on me and I haven't had even ONE anxiety attack while in his care. So beyond greatful to him and his entire staff!

I'm one of those people who is unaccountably anxious when it comes to dentist visits. Dr. Garber and his staff were all wonderful and my cleaning was a positive experience from start to finish. As a new patient, there is a lot of initial paperwork, including a quick survey on what you are looking for as far as your dental health and dentist - not what I was expecting (Ugh, more paperwork!). As a result to what I had written, though, there were no lectures and Dr. Garber addressed only the things that were of particular interest to me.
