Dr. Baloul was friendly and thorough. At 30 I was nervous about getting braces but she made the process comfortable and even offered me the option for clear brackets, most people don't even notice them which is nice.

I liked my visit very much. The doctor is super nice and very attentive. The staff members are very nice and they know what they are doing. The office is very clean. I felt very comfortable and at ease.

Dr. Susan Baloul is unique in her qualifications in that she is a dual-trained specialist in orthodontics and periodontics, who serves the Boston, MA area. Dr. Baloul earned her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry cum laude from the University of Oklahoma; her D.M.D., M.S., and CAGS in Periodontology from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine; and her Doctorate of Science in Dentistry, and CAGS in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Baloul is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, meaning she has made significant achievements and certifications beyond the mandatory educational requirements of her specialty. She is also a Clinical Instructor at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston.
Among her awards as an orthodontist, Dr. Baloul received the prestigious Milo Hellman Research Award from the American Association of Orthodontics in 2010, AAO’s Joseph E. Johnson Table Clinic Award, in 2009, named in the Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of Dentistry in 2015, and was recently voted Best of Boston 2017. She is also an active member of nine different orthodontic, periodontic and dental associations.
In her free time, Dr. Baloul enjoys sports, arts and travel. She also dedicates time to community service with the Junior League of Boston.
