From kindergarten to high school, I grew up in the small suburb of Lynnfield, Massachusetts which is about 20 minutes north of Boston. Once I graduated, I took a year off of school and worked at Massachusetts General Hospital as a hematopathology laboratory technician. In my year off, I applied to dental school and chose to pursue my dream of being a dentist at the University of Connecticut and have lived here ever since! I realized that I loved all aspects of dentistry and decided to pursue general dentistry.
Upon graduation, I was awarded the Dr. Robert G. Levine Award for outstanding achievement in General dentistry and the Brian D. Stone Student Memorial Award which recognizes students who have committed to volunteerism and helping people with special needs. I chose to apply to a General Practice Residency to continue learning and growing as a dentist and matched to my first choice of Hartford Hospital. There, I learned all aspects of hospital dentistry, from managing the dental needs of patients undergoing cardiac procedures to taking special needs patients to the operating room for comprehensive care. I also managed a full schedule of general dentistry patients (crowns, bridges, fillings, root canals, implants, dentures). I continue to learn every day and am a part of a small study group with my now co-residents via Spear Education, a world-renown continuing education program based out of Arizona to strengthen my ability to provide my patients with the quality of care you deserve.
