Dr. Candio is a very friendly and talented dentist. He diagnosed and explained two issues my previous dentist "missed" and was able to tackle the issues during the same visit. The office feels a bit "retro" / 1980s but after initially scoffing at the notion of watching a DVD movie (of my choosing) during the treatment I actually enjoyed the distraction. I'm 100% satisfied with my visit and would recommend the office to anyone in the he market for a new dental practice. 5 Stars

Since 1976 Dr. Stephen Candio and Beth Stolar, RDH, BS, MA, have been helping people achieve and maintain optimum dental health. With over 75 years combined experience in private dental practice, teaching at university, post graduate and professional level, clinical research and evaluation of dental products and techniques in the USA and Europe, dental consulting, publication in multiple dental journals and authorship of a dental textbook. Dr. Candio and Ms. Stolar were both appointed by the Governor to the NJ State Board of Dentistry. Dr. Candio Served as the Board’s vice president and youngest elected President and remains a consultant for the Board. Also served as members of the Northeast Regional Board of Dental Examiners, the organization that administers tests to those who wish to practice dentistry in 17 states.
In order to devote maximum time and attention to each patient, Dr. Candio do not schedule more than one patient at a time. After listening to you define your dental needs, you will be examined, findings discussed and a treatment plan developed that is most appropriate for you.
The office uses both digital dental xrays, which reduce radiation exposure and digital intra oral scanning. It is important to note that Dr. Candio is a consultant for 3M/ESPE which is an industry leader in digital impressioning technology and has helped develop the software and hardware used.
Dr. Candio's goal is to prevent dental disease in their patients. We are pleased to provide innovative and conservative dentistry for the child and adult. Cleanings, veneers, ceramic crowns and bridges, implant restoration, tooth movement, teeth whitening and similar are done on a daily basis. Treatment for such nontraditional services such as sleep apnea and snoring are available.

Steve has been my dentist for more than 30 years, and this visit, as all others, was very good. He is aware of and makes use of all the latest dental innovations. He is knowledgeable, thorough, creative, and totally professional. He does all he can do to find the best treatment and will never push the most expensive option. I drive 45-50 minutes to see him because he has taken great care of me.

I had a sharp pain on a tooth on the upper right side. I called the office after hours & Dr. Candio prescribed anti-biotics & pain killers- worked great! Today, he found an infection which he drained by doing a root canal - pain gone - I'm really happy.

I always enjoy (as much as you can) my visits w/ Dr. Candio & Beth (hygenist). Not only are they very through but clear on what needs to be done & what can wait. Beth uses hand instruments to clean your teeth and is gentle but very through. Dr. Steve is an amazing restorative dentist!
