Dr. Steven Dunning is a native of Plainville, a small town in northwest Kansas. Dr. Dunning completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Kansas and Kansas State University. While at the University of Kansas he was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity.
Dr. Dunning received his D.D.S. from Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraska, in l983, graduating in the top ten percent of his class. While at Creighton he was selected for membership into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the National Honorary Dental Society for senior students "showing proficiency during the entire course of dentistry as well as for character and conduct." Dr. Dunning was the 1983 recipient of the American College of Dentists Award "in recognition of professional and ethical achievement as exemplified by the record of clinical and scholastic performance in undergraduate dental education" for the Nebraska Section. Dr. Dunning opened his practice in Belton, Missouri in l983.
Dr. Dunning is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Orthodontics Association, The Kansas Society of Orthodontics for the General Practitioner, the American College of Oral Implantology, the Belton Chamber of Commerce and the Adrian Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Dunning participates in the Belton Research Foundation and is involved in a variety of community activities.

Our family of five has been with Dr. Dunning for 25 plus years! Dr. Dunning is very thorough with check-ups and keeps up to date with state of the art technology. He has always been there for our dental needs. His staff is not only professional, but very caring for the patients. We highly recommend Dr. Dunning as a dentist!

You are a skilled & gifted dentist and I want to thank you for the personal care that you show to your patients! You encouraged and hung in there with me through the extraction, advised me in after care and your caring phone calls (yesterday & today - to check on my situation) just went above and beyond the call of duty! Love Dr. Dunning and his staff. I always feel so well informed of options when I see him. All the dental hygienist are very professional they do everything they can to encourage me to floss more. I would highly recommend the team at Dr. Dunning's office.

From the time you walk in until the time you leave is a very friendly, welcoming and professional environment, The hygenist and Dr. Dunning are very knowledgable, professional and make a great team. It makes the trip to see the dentist not stressful and my teeth feel and look so clean.
