I loved my doctors visit but i didn't see Steven Firshein, DMD. Another dentist was on property and saw me. I forget his name but my experience was great. My appointment was very interactive and he took the time to explain what he saw in the xrays and to make sure all my questions were answered. I liked that all of the technology was modern, but I was concerned with the amount of xrays that had to be taken. Older xray machines only required about 4 images. Their newer xray machine took at least 20 images if not more. The amount of xrays concerned me because it exposed me to much more radiation and it was directed at my head.

Dr. Steven Firshein is amazing. I had my wisdom teeth removed today and it took less than 30 minutes. He made me feel warn and welcome throughout the procedure. I would highly recommend him!

Dr. Steven Firshein has lived in the South Bay area for almost three decades. In that time, he raised four children and built one of the best dental practices in the area, Manhattan Beach Dental. But dentistry isn't his only interest. He is an avid cyclist and he also enjoys tennis, volleyball, skiing--both snow and water, and martial arts. Additionally, he served as a reserve officer with the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department for 15 years. Clearly, Dr. Firshein is committed to making his home a better place. He demonstrates this with both his civic engagement and the professional, caring and contemporary dental treatment he has provided in this area for over 25 years.
Before making his home in the South Bay, Dr. Firshein grew up in New York City. He graduated from the City University of New York, with a degree in Biology and Chemistry. His dental doctoral program was completed at the University of Pennsylvania Dental School. He moved to California when he was accepted to the Marine Hospital Residency Program in San Francisco. He was introduced to dental specialties such as pediatrics, prosthodontics (tooth restoration), endodontics (root canal treatment) and oral surgery. His training continued as he served in the U.S. Public Health Service, where he attained the rank of Lieutenant Commander, before retiring that post for the private sector and opening Manhattan Beach Dental.

I had my appointment with Dr. Erick Gutierrez & thought he was very professional, knowledgeable, efficient & he also took the time to answer my questions so that I knew what the reason was for the procedures he said needed to be performed.
***I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Erick Gutierrez & Dr. Steven Firshien & this dentist office itself because all of the receptionists, hygienists, assistants, technicians & the Registered Dental Assistants are ALL very professional, helpful & knowledgeable customer service professionals & great at what they do.***
It also has a convenient location in Manhattan Beach, not too far from the Pacific Ocean & a great variety of restaurant & retail stores nearby. And the waiting room is comfy too with a large screen HDTV & they have complimentary coffee & water available while you wait.

I am very pleased with my first visit to your facility. I am extremely impressed with all the latest technology used for my exam. Dr. Gutierrez and the staff are very thorough and professional and made sure I was completely comfortable. Amanda (hygienist) is very kind and answered all my concerns with great answers. While she was busy and I was unable to speak, I asked her to explain how to care for my teeth, best whiteners and toothpaste to use, which she obliged. The brightness of my teeth were immediate. I was very concerned about my overall care of my mouth and now I have not a worry in world. Luv, Luv, loved my visit!! Thank you Manhattan Dental Care !!

This was one of the best visit to the dentist I have had. The staff was extremely friendly, knowledgable and quick. They made me feel right at home and took amazing care of my teeth.
