Very Kind and spoke to me to keep my mind off the disaster going on in my mouth as he drilled and did my root canal. You get what you pay for, and Dr. Kim isn't cheap, but he'll work with you, because he is a humanitarian as well As a dentist...

Dr Kim and all of the office staff were very friendly and really put me at ease. It was not a stressful dentist visit at all. I never felt like he was trying to push unnecessary/extra procedures on me (as I have felt with other offices). Overall it was a great experience!

Dr. Steven Kim received his bachelor’s degree and DDS degree from the University of the Pacific, one of the most highly respected dental schools in the world. Dr. Kim prides himself on assuring each patient receives the best overall personalized care. Dr. Kim strives to educate his patients regarding necessary procedures and highlight any alternative, giving each patient the ability to make informed decisions about their long-range plans for optimal dental health.
Dr Kim is a third generation dentist who takes great responsibility in making sure the tradition of providing optimal and gentle care is continued. To that end, Dr. Kim constantly attends lectures and programs to further educate himself on the emerging techniques and newest materials in dentistry. He believes in using the highest quality materials to ensure longevity, strength and most importantly, bio compatibility. Metal-free dentistry and bio-friendly dentistry are a big part of Ocean Heights Dental practice philosophy.
Dr. Kim was raised in sunny Southern California where he played junior tennis and French horn in the Orange County Junior Youth Symphony. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Kim’s other interests include spending lots of time with his wife of 2 years. The Kim family loves to hike, explore the sights, sounds and tastes of Southern California. Dr. Kim is a lifelong California Angel’s fan whose favorite all time Angels are Rod Carew and Brian Downing. Also an avid golfer, Dr. Kim welcomes all challenges from patients!
Dr. Kim is affiliated with the American Dental Assoc, California Dental Assoc, and the Harbor Dental Society and is currently working towards his Associate fellowship in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
