Dr. Tamara McCallum is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist who continues to develop her love and passion for treating children. Originally from Guyana, South America, Dr. McCallum has called home to various countries and cities, including the Turks and Caicos Islands and Washington DC before settling in Miami, FL. She is happy to call South Florida her home for the past 14 years. Dr. Tamara McCallum received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Florida International University and her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington DC. She then completed a two-year residency program in Pediatric Dentistry at Howard University. Her pediatric dental training included management and treatment of special needs patients, conscious sedation, pediatric dental rehabilitation, hospital dentistry with children under general anesthesia, and interceptive orthodontics. Dr. McCallum is currently a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the Delta Phi Sigma Dental Sorority. She is certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support. Dr. McCallum is an avid reader. During her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, dining on Caribbean inspired cuisine, a connection to her heritage.

My son is Autistic so I worried about how the visit would go but I was pleasantly surprised. They saw us quickly, they treated my son beautifully and everything was explained clearly. We had a great experience, as everytime we visit American Pediatric Dental Group. Dr. McCallum is nice and caring and my son felt secure with her. We were explained oral instructions and the importance of follow ups and prevention. We are happy to say that we find our dental office to stay. Recommend her 100%.
