Truthful and understandable. We walked through what was needed , what was recommended and how I felt about it all . The front desk came in to explain what I would owe before proceeding . I never had that before the payment was always a surprise and after the fact.
This gave me the ability, the choice and the option to decide what and when to get done what I needed to get done.
I’m now booking my 2 college age children for an appt .

Dr. Theressa Eliscar-Hewett, a New York native, attended Adelphi University, where she earned her BS in Biology. She received her DDS from Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington, DC.
After completing studies at Howard, Dr. Eliscar-Hewett went on to complete a two year General Practice Residency at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. During her second year she served as a chief resident where she mastered her clinical skills, including teaching and administrative responsibilities.
Dr. Eliscar-Hewett is an active participant in organized dentistry. She is a member of the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association, Nassau County Dental Society (New Dentist Committee), Second District Dental Society (Brooklyn), National Dental Association for African-Americans (Social Chair), and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc.
Dr. Eliscar-Hewett believes in giving back to the community. She participates in numerous service events locally and internationally. Some of the local events include providing oral health screenings for children with disabilities at the Viscardi Center, “Give Kids A Smile”, and at Antioch Baptist Church. Internationally she provided dental services to children at an orphanage in Ti Riviere, Haiti. She maintains a continued presence at community action-oriented events focused on oral health care.--

I must say that I get tensed whenever I have to go to the dentist. This was my first time here and Dr. Hewitt was superb. She was gentle, explain each step offer great advice and recommendations. I’ve found a keeper

The atmosphere was very welcoming and inviting.
Dr. Eliscar was amazing. She made sure I felt comfortable, took time to go through my X-rays, and answered all of my questions with care. I highly recommend.
