Dr. Farris was born in San Francisco and raised in Mountain View where he attended Saint Francis High School. After receiving a Master of Science degree in Biology from UC Berkeley he attended UOP School of Dentistry in San Francisco. Being able to come back home to Mountain View to treat family and friends has been very special to him.Dr. Farris takes continuing education classes on a regular basis and has extensive training in cosmetic and restorative dentistry. He is president of the Northern California Academy for Dental Research and a lifelong member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and the Mid- Peninsula Dental Society.

My family and I have been going to Dr Farris for over 10 years!
He is extremely professional, kind and gentle and explains what he is doing and make sure you are comfortable.
The Office staff is professional, warm and welcoming! The receptionist Sandra and the loving and caring dental assistant Monica and the dental hygienist Aileen are all wonderful! Every time I visit I feel like I am visiting old friends. They are the best! Extremely friendly with great expertise! They all have great attitudes! They are exceptional people who know their jobs very well! I am moving across country and am very sad because I do not think I'll ever find a dentist or staff of this caliber! The overall professionalism with which they all operate is far above other dentists and staff I have ever used.
Thanks for serving the community and really caring about each and everyone of your patients! You won't find a finer group of people who are are this kind, courteous and helpful! I really appreciate how they explain everything in detail before administering treatment or performing procedures. Dr. Farris does everything from the dental treatments to my handling the billing with my insurance. They have even called me at home to make sure that I am feeling great! These small details always add up to a very positive experience! He does such an amazing job they all really care about you! I cannot recommend them enough!

I have spent a lot of time with Dr. Farris, too much time! But, if you have to spend too much time at a dentist office, these are the people you want to be with! They are fabulous! So kind, empathetic and talented. They tell you everything they are doing and explain it as they go along so you are never surprised by a scary drill sound or pressure in your mouth. Seriously the best!

Dr. Farris was my dentist through 2005 when I moved to AZ. I moved back into the valley and was thrilled to get back with him. I really appreciated the way he caught up on my history, went over my x-rays, and discussed his inspection with me. Aileen is a great hygienist - firm on dental philosophy but gentle on execution - and Sandra is super friendly and efficient office manager. A great experience all around.

I knocked off a veneer when I fell on my face while hiking. This was on Friday before the 4 day holiday weekend. I called the emergency number since the office isn't open on Fridays and Dr. Farris met me at the office and made a temporary for me. I'm sure he would have rather been golfing. I Can't begin to express how appreciative I am. And the temporary looks great.

I called ahead and asked the front desk if I might come in a few minutes early, I had another appointment at the time I was to finish with my treatment. Dr. Ferris would take me in 15 min. early. I got stuck in traffic and showed up 5 min. late and the staff and Dr. Farris got the procedure done actually in 45 min. instead of 1 hr.
The treatment was done with great care and very efficiently. I can not say enough about the staff and Dr. Farris. Great Dentist's, I would recommend him to everyone.

Very professional and went over the options of one tooth that is old and falling apart. What he did previously is working fine and don't want to do further drilling in its fragile state or it could be lost.
Had a chip in the front tooth and it was filled and looks great.

Dr. Farris is a great dentist, I have been seeing him for 10 years and he has made one of my list favorite things to do (go to the dentist) OK, and even tolerable. He is friendly, always remembers things about and his whole staff makes you feel like family. When I found out I needed an emergency root canal, he came in on his day off to do and called me the next day to make sure I was recovering nicely. I would recommend him to any friends or family.

Their bedside manor makes you feel like your family and Dr. Farris knows my teeth and needs better than I do. Getting dental work for me is challenging as I tend do be rough on my teeth. Even with those challenges, Dr. Farris always improves my smile on each visit.

I am eternally grateful to Dr. Farris and his team. I have been a patient of his for the last fifteen years and he takes care of my entire family. Dr. Farris did a complex set of veneers for my teeth due to Tetracycline staining from when I was two years old. Outcome was amazing.
His office runs extremely well and he does terrific work. Highly recommend him.

If I had to sum up my experience with Dr Farris I'd use words like: Friendly, Professional, Accommodating, Calming and Honest.
From the moment you step foot in the clean and nicely decorated office space you are greeted with warm smiles and hellos. Dr Farris listened to my concerns and issues and worked with me on a plan of action to get my teeth both healthy and looking good. He had taken time to meet with me to discuss my dental plans and was very honest and forthright when it comes to pricing and timing. As far as dental procedures are concerned, I have had cavities filled, extractions and a root canal and I can say both him and his dental assistant, Monica, made sure I was comfortable and didn't feel a thing. Dr Farris has also gone as far as calling and emailing me to check how I'm doing after particularly difficult dental procedures. Wow, what more can you ask for, honestly?
I have been in search of a professional, easy going dentist who I feel comfortable with. His experience really shows. I would recommend him to anyone looking for an amazing dentist who cares about you.

My first visit with Dr. Farris was phenomenal (who else says that about their dentist?!). Their office called to check in beforehand and got me an earlier appt that wasn't listed. The day of, Dr. Farris came into the waiting room to meet me beforehand and get to know me! I was really worried about not having had a cleaning in 2 years and they were so positive, friendly, and gentle. No judgment at all in their office. Now I can't wait to go back!
