Having joined the practice in June of 2012, Dr. Agustin’s son Dr. Tim, is a graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. Determined to tread his own path, he avoided dental school after receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Science from Cedarville University in 2004 and instead moved to New York City to become a middle school science teacher. It was during this time in New York where he received a Master’s degree in Secondary Science Education from the City College of New York in 2007. He can vividly remember the day in the classroom when he realized that he was missing something in his professional goals, and greatly desired to pursue a career where his hand skills could be expressed. Witnessing the passion his father had, he chose to pursue the field of dentistry. He was fortunate enough to receive a scholarship to attend UConn where he received his D.M.D. in 2012. More recently, he has become an Affiliate Associate of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID) after completing 300 hours of implant training at the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. He and his wife Iliana have two children, Alma and Lucas, who keep them busy when not in the office. They attend By Grace Community Church in Newport News.

Consultation visit was awesome! I was not thrilled to be there, as I am terrified of dentist. That “dentist office smell” usually will send me right back out the door. However, the office did not have the “dentist office smell.” The staff was extreme inviting and there was an immediate sense that you are apart of their dental family. Dr. Perez has wonderful bedside manner and throughly explained everything. This is by far the best dental office I ever stepped foot in.

Dr. Perez and staff were very professional and accommodating. My initial visit set up through ZocDoc and every appointment after that have been nothing but positive. He is attentive, compassionate to his patients needs. Even when I didn't agree to something he took his time educating me on the reason and even skipped the procedure on that day allowing me to make my decision with confidence. I recommended him to my mother who has had a variety of procedures done with him. She too considers him as her dentist and referred multiple friends and family to him. He has all the qualities one should look for in a dentist and I feel very fortunate to have him as a doctor.

I am terrified of going to the dentist and tend to only go when i have a toothache that won't stop. After visiting this office, I know I will continue to go back and get the work I need done on my teeth. They are very attentive, put you at ease and do not take your fear lightly. Everyone there is very friendly. They had me so at ease, they did a full root canal and a cleaning on the same day.!!
