Dr. McAlister was born and raised in San Antonio. He graduated high school from Saint Mary’s Hall and undergrad from The University of Texas at Austin. During his time at UT Austin Dr. McAlister was a member of the Silver Spurs Organization.
Dr. McAlister graduated with high honors from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Dental School. Dr. McAlister has been the recipient of multiple dental awards including: The UTHSCSA Excellence in Clinical Dentistry Award, Excellence in Esthetic Dentistry Award, The Southwest Prosthodontic Society award for Outstanding Achievement in Prosthodontics and distinction with Research Honors. Dr. McAlister has authored/co-authored over 20 dental research abstracts and publications.
Dr. McAlister has been married to his loving wife Ann since 2010, they have two sons Campbell & Wynn. Dr. McAlister loves all sports and spending time outdoors. He is dedicated to a lifetime of learning and to continuously hone his dental skills

Dr. McAlister truly has a great hand! I didn’t feel a thing while having my old crowns removed. Now, I only felt a pinch when given a shot in my gum, but I didn’t feel anything afterwards. He was very quick but made sure all was well!

I truly enjoyed how Dr. McAlister’s staff members were truly patient when it came to finding my designated insurance and while doing my teeth x-rays. I mention my x-rays because it was very difficult for me to keep the tool, used, inside my mouth. I also appreciated that the Dr. McAlister explained everything thoroughly and had a great hand while removing the plaque from my teeth. In all, GREAT dentist, clean facility, and patient staff! He will definitely be my primary dentist in San Antonio!

Received excellent care from Dr. McAlister and staff. All are very knowledgeable, professional and courteous. Office is clean and modern. Appreciate Dr. McAlister's willingness to explain details of dental procedures. Also appreciate the persistence of doctor and staff in providing justification of services needed to my insurance company -- their persistence resulted in payment from insurance company for a costly procedure in which coverage was initially denied. Thanks for keeping the insurance company honest! Will most definitely visit again.

My visit was very easygoing and didn't take as long as I thought it would be. The staff were extremely friendly so that's another plus. I'm so glad I came here and I will definitely keep coming back!

Very pleasant office and atmosphere. Friendly receptionist and staff. The wait time was minimal, due to me having to fill out new patient paperwork. Had a wisdom tooth removed, a vast improvement over my first experience at another office, same procedure. Less pain and less time spent with the extraction. Highly recommend Dr. McAlister, he made my dentist visits something I won't dread from now on.

Completely thrilled with Dr T..he was amazing with both my kids amd answered all my questions. His staff is quite simply awesome. Polite and engaging...great people. Had to do a follow up and instead of waiting weeks or months they got us back in 2 days. I look forward to their next checkup in 6 months. Dr T is definitely a keeper in the dental world for my kids.
