More about Dr. Tyler Coles, DDS, MSD
I was born and raised in Utah, the youngest of five children. My father and three older siblings are dentists, so I grew up surrounded by dentistry. I had many chances to work in my father’s office growing up and developed an interest in dentistry from an early age.
Following graduation from high school I lived in Thailand for two years. During my time in Thailand I became a fluent Thai speaker and fell in love with Thai food. After returning from Thailand I went to Southern Utah University for my undergraduate schooling where I majored in Biology. While at SUU I met and married my wife, Joanna.
Like my older brother Dustin, I attended dental school at Creighton University in Omaha and received my Doctor of Dental Surgery. My brother encouraged me to continue my dental education and specialize in orthodontics like he did. Following dental school I also completed a two year orthodontic residency at Indiana University in Indianapolis and received my orthodontic certificate and master’s degree in dental sciences.
I have enjoyed working alongside my older brother Dustin since joining his team here in Arizona. I believe I have the best job in the world and I love being able to help patients have a beautiful smile that they will get to enjoy for the rest of their life!
Joanna and I have four children - Alex, Danny, Abby, and Rhys. All of my family members have become Thai food enthusiasts and we enjoy eating out at Thai restaurants as well as making it in our home. During my free time I enjoy participating in sports such as basketball and running. I also enjoy playing and composing music on the guitar.

Love coming! She likes her visits and looks forward to her appointments. The staff is very friendly and make you feel welcome, almost as if you are a family member. Our wait time has never ever been more than 10 minutes.
