Dr. Victor Tran is a General and Cosmetic Dentist who serves Sorrento Valley and the surrounding San Diego area. Though Dr. Tran is a northern California native, who grew up in San Jose, he later spent some time in the San Diego area and quickly realized that it is truly “America’s Finest City.” He is happy to call San Diego home and treasures the opportunity to provide excellent dental care to its residents.
Dr. Tran achieved his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the prestigious University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), while concurrently earning a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of San Francisco. Dr. Tran is also a double major graduate from the University of California, Berkeley, holding both a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Integrative Biology, and Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Genetics and Plant Biology.
Dr. Tran is an advocate for early prevention and diagnosis, and is passionate about educating his patients on proper oral care. Dr. Tran is an active member of several dental associations, including the San Diego County Dental Society, the California Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. He is undergoing formal continuing education from the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and Spear Education, a unique source of innovative learning that offers dentists the latest in research and dental care.
When not taking care of his patients, Dr. Tran enjoys being active, traveling the world, and discovering new food with his fiancé, whom he met in beautiful San Diego. Although he calls San Diego home, he’s still got plenty of love for his native Northern California, particularly the Golden State Warriors.

I’m not a fan of having my teeth worked on. That being said Dr. Tran and his entire staff are friendly, helpful, and professional. My two trips to this dentist office have been by far the best dental experiences I’ve had in my life. They help take the worry and fear of going to the dentist away. 10 out of 10 recommend to a friend!

Easy to book the appointment. Front staff was wonderful from the time I walked through the door. Every step of the process was explained as it occurred so patients with anxiety or curiosity will be well taken care of! Very thorough here. Dr. Tran had a great bedside manner and was patient in answering questions and wasn’t pushing for anything unnecessary. I would highly recommend this provider and office!

Had a last minute dental emergency on my birthday, complete with my own insurance's website being down making everything more complicated and awful. BUT everyone in the office was super nice and patient and made me feel a lot better in what otherwise would have been a totally miserable morning. The staff and equipment all seem super modern and efficient, they even got big screens with Netflix to help keep your mind off things during the downtime! Great team all around who genuinely want to help, not looking to take advantage of a flustered fool with fillings falling out cause she waited too long. Dont be like me! Go get your teeth dealt with before it gets worse!

I had an appointment here for a checkup and cleaning. Everyone was extremely friendly and I did not have to wait at all! I had to get back to work but Dr. Tran was able to take care of a few cavities for me in no time. Great first experience and looking forward to my cleaning in 6 months.
