Dr. Hathaway began his professional career as a Teaching Assistant at the St. Louis Science Center and Herbert Hoover Boys and Girls Club of America, where he worked as a mentor and tutor for disadvantaged children. During the summer of his junior year at Grambling State University, Dr. Hathaway interned within the Genetic Department at Washington University School of Medicine, conducting research on genetic mapping. In May 2005, Dr. Hathaway received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Grambling State University and shortly after accepted a position as a second-grade teacher in Macon Georgia. After working as a second-grade teacher, Dr. Hathaway was accepted into Howard University Graduate school in the Genetic Department. While attending Graduate School at Howard University, Dr. Hathaway worked as a Research Fellow at the National Institutes of Health in the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute division. After completing his work at NIH, Dr. Hathaway enrolled at Howard College of Dentistry. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Howard University in 2016. Dr. Hathaway prides himself on meeting his patients on a personal level while thoroughly discussing and treating their dental concerns, he is dedicated to educating his patients on maintaining proper oral health. His professional affiliations include the American Dental Association, American Dental Education Association, Student National Dental Association, and the American Student Dental Association.
