Dr. Qureshi is passionate about providing excellent dental care to his patients. “My philosophy of care is based on a simple principle,” said Dr. Qureshi. “I believe in treating the person, not just his or her teeth.” Dr. Qureshi believes it is vital for his patients to know that their dentist cares not only about their teeth but holistic health to make sure they stay in good health, be comfortable, and get the best possible smile for life.
Dr. Qureshi is from Fairfax, Virginia. He attended New York University College of Dentistry and earned his DDS. He then moved to Texas to practice as an associate dentist, Dr. Qureshi decided to move back to the Ashburn area and opened Virginia Smiles Dental Care.
Dr Qureshi is active member of the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association and American Association of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Qureshi actively pursues continuing education in endodontics, cosmetic dentistry, periodontics and restorative dentistry to bring the latest technical advances to his patients.
He believes in giving back to his community and volunteers for the Mission of Mercy in Northern Virginia. He has participated in events for the Oral Cancer Society and provided dental care to underprivileged children.

This was my first appointment with Dr. Qureshi. It was for a routine checkup with x-rays and a cleaning. The appointment started on time and was finished within 30 mins after an exam and thorough cleaning. My insurance does not cover dental however I felt my out-of-pocket costs were reasonable for the service that was provided. I will be returning for regular visits.

My son and I have been very happy with Dr. Qureshi's services and plan to continue at this practice; we were in need of emergency care after an accident and Dr. Qureshi was able to see us the very next day...he has a professional manner that helped to put my child at ease through an uncomfortable procedure. Great Doctor! Dr. Qureshi cares about patients and is very nice! Very professional and you can trust his practice because you are sure he knows exactly what he is doing! He fixed one of my teeth, checked on previous root canal work, treated my gum infection and prescribed some toothpaste and mouth wash for my gums! He listened to my complaints and treated it accordingly!

Dr. Qureshi was fantastic! I drove all the way out to Ashburn, VA from DC because I was having a hard time finding a doctor who was willing to work with me on my insurance. For reasons I will never fully understand my Blue Cross/Blue Shield PPO High dental plan only covered metal fillings, and at my DC dentist the differential between metal and composite filling was exorbitant. I'm a risk averse kind of fellow, so when purchasing dental insurance I made sure (or so I thought) to get coverage that would protect me from paying out huge sums for routine coverage, like fillings. Anyhow, Dr. Qureshi was happy to work with me, and even removed some old metal fillings from when I was a kid and replaced those with composite as well so I wouldn't suffer a broken tooth unnecessarily in the future. The cost above insurance was minimal and Dr. Qureshi was willing to do all the work in one appointment since I had driven so far.
Overall I would have to say this was one of my most positive dental experiences ever. I have soft teeth so I wind up visiting the dentist often for broken teeth, chips, and fillings. Little things like taking the time to slowly inject the Novocain so that it doesn't feel like you're being injected with liquid fire, or asking periodically throughout the appointment if I was feeling ok (I definitely was) make Dr. Qureshi not a good dentist, but a great one. Given his youth I was slightly skeptical at first, but he quickly assuaged any and all concerns I had with his positive demeanor and professional bedside manner.

Dr. Wasim Qureshi has great bedside manner. He is patient and gives a lot of support to his patients. He shows that he cares and he is the best dentist that I have ever been too. he is patient with you and understands that coming to the dentist can be very uneasy and uncomfortable for the patient. The massage chairs and the peaceful atmosphere created in the office is very soothing and helps reduce the stress and discomfort of getting dental work done. he is excellent!!!!!

Healthy teeth and gums are his first priority for his patients. I love the chair massage which helps you relax as we all know going to the Dentist can be uneasy.
