For patients who fear going to the dentist, the caring attention of Dr. Gilbert is a breath of fresh air. He and his staff work hard to create a warm, welcoming environment, where people actually look forward to their dental care.
“I always wanted to be the dentist that patients felt safe, comfortable, and not judged by.” says Dr. Gilbert. “I focus on building trust to reduce anxieties and fear in the dental office.
“I made a conscious decision when I opened my office to be a smaller patient focused dental practice,” says Dr. Gilbert. In this environment we have the time to truly get to know our patients and making those connections helps our patients to feel more comfortable.
Besides comfort dentistry, Dr. Gilbert offers patients the most current procedures and dental technologies for general and cosmetic treatments. He focuses on knowing his patients well and using that knowledge to help them be more comfortable during visits, choosing the right procedures for their needs. He also works with patients to help them learn how to prevent dental problems before they start.
Dr. Gilbert received his Bachelor of Science in molecular biology from the University of Colorado and his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Emory University School of Dentistry. He has served as an instructor at the University of Washington School of Dentistry. He strives to better his practice through ongoing education and training, both for himself and for his staff. Most recently, he took continuing dental education courses at the Pankey Institute and through the Frank Spear and Kois Center continuum series.
