Dr. William Peña is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist who has extensive experience in the dental care of children, adolescents, and special needs patients. He received a dual degree Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) and Masters in Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Nova Southeastern University and graduated with top honors. He completed his residency at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) where he received a certificate of Advanced Education in Pediatric Dentistry and a Masters degree in Oral and Craniofacial Sciences.
Dr. Peña is also the recipient of the honorary Eric B. Bystrom D.D.S. Memorial Pediatric Dentistry Award for Excellence in the Treatment of Special Needs Patients. His research on the treatment and management of special needs patients has been published in nationally recognized dental journals. He is also trained in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and holds a sedation permit for the administration of oral medicine for patients. Dr. Peña is currently a clinical professor at Nova Southeastern University Department of Pediatric Dentistry and has professional affiliations with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association, American Dental Association, and the Florida Dental Association.

Everyone in the office was very helpful. They even take the time out to explain every instrument that is going to be used to the child to create a positive first time experience. My 3 year daughter loved it and she constantly wants to brush. Oh, they get flavor options for fluoride and stickers too ????.

Dr. Pena is amazing with kids! The wait is always long, but he is definitely worth it. They went out of their way to accommodate my requests for my child which I GREATLY appreciate. The only complaint that I have about this office is the communication issues. The assistants don't communicate effectively between themselves/other staff as to what needs to be done, so the ball was dropped twice. The other communication issues are that they don't reply to e-mails and they hardly ever answer the phone (very annoying). They never, not even once returned one of my phone calls. Despite the communication issues, I will continue to take my child there because Dr. Pena is that good!

Waiting 1:30 hour to be seeing for five minutes by the doctor is unacceptable. If you count the 20 minutes that I got there before my appoitment to fill out the paperwork for new patiens, I had to spend almost 2 hours there. With a toddler. It was awful and I definitely don't plan on coming back there.
The service was indeed good and friendly, to be fair, but it is not worth the wait for me.

Excellent service but had to wait too long to get it. It was my first time visiting office so I even brought all my forms filled out for my 3 kids. Don't understand why it took so long, my kids were desperate and upset plus one of their video games systems was broken. A little too much of a wait, they should work on that because it's impatient kids that are on the waiting area, which happens to b a little small.

My son has always been nervous going to the dentist and Dr. Pena and his entire staff has totally changed his outlook. He now loves to go! Dr. Pena is fantastic. He treats his patients as if they were his own children.
