I was born and raised in Champaign, graduated from Champaign Central High School in 1997 and went on to Miami University in Oxford, OH. In 2001, I graduated from Miami with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and finished my swimming career as the Men's Team Captain, a Mid-America Conference Champion, and an Olympic Trial qualifier.
After graduating from Miami in 2001, I spent 5 years in sales, 3 of those years as a Pain Control Specialist with Septodont, Inc. educating dentists about the latest pain control products for their patients. In 2006, I resigned from my sales position to attend IUPUI in Indianapolis where I completed dental school prerequisite courses. In 2008, I was accepted to Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine in Alton, IL and graduated in 2012.
I belong to many professional organizations including the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, and I am an elected officer with the Illini District Dental Society. I try to attend many continuing education courses and strive to be informed on the most cutting edge techniques in dentistry including CEREC crowns & bridges, CEREC veneers & implant crowns, endodontics, and pain control techniques.
Also, I participate in Dental Lifeline Network which is a networking service that provides a national safety net for people who are elderly, severely ill or have disabilities and lack financial resources. Yearly, I participate in the local Give Kids A Smile volunteer efforts to provide dental screenings to hundreds of less fortunate kids.
I enjoy being back in the Champaign area and feel fortunate to be working with my dad. I received exceptional clinical training at SIU-SDM, but I have learned a lot about general dentistry and private practice from Dr. Ken.
