Dr. Owais, DDS, MS, in San Jose, CA, has been a dentist for 14 years, practicing a full scope of family, general, and cosmetic dentistry. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri and completed a Master's degree there as well. He also completed residencies in General Practice Dentistry at the University of Missouri and at Kansas University Medical Center. In addition to his formal education, Dr. Owais has five years of advanced dental training and hundreds of hours of continuing education in cosmetic dentistry, implants, CEREC, and other dental specialties.
Dr. Owais has practiced in high-tech private dental offices and at several world-class medical centers, including Kansas University Dental Associates and Truman Medical Center in Kansas City. He has had the opportunity to lecture to postgraduate dental and medical students at the University of Missouri and Kansas University Medical Center. He has also been part of several research teams at different dental schools and universities, contributing to many fields in clinical dentistry.
Dr. Owais is married to his lovely wife, Hadeel, and they have a cute 5-month-old son, Andrew. The family enjoys the beach, movies, hiking, and attending church on Sundays.

I would rather do my own dental work than ever step foot in this office again.
The dentist did not even communicate what my issue was, told me half of what he planned to work on for my care - and then had the front desk explain the rest. He never even mentioned the number of “cavities” I had but let the front desk know I have ten to fill. News to me! As they slid me a bill for hundreds of dollars. Complete surprise to me! Barely talked during my exam and then asked me if I had questions about half an assessment. It was so unpleasant and awkward. I’ll NEVER recommend this horrible establishment based off the lack of thorough communication.

He explained everything I asked about and took the time to ensure I understood what was going on. He constantly checked that I was okay. I'm pretty inquisitive by nature, so I was able to find out everything I need to. However, I feel like someone less inquisitive may miss a few details that may or may not matter.
