Dr. Zoe Mattana received her Doctorate in Dental Surgery from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. Following dental school, she continued her clinical training by completing a General Practice Residency at Northwell Health (North Shore University/LIJ Hospital) with a focus on cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Mattana is committed to providing her patients with the highest quality of care possible. She takes time to educate her patients and to answer their questions. Her warm demeanor, humor, strong moral compass and optimism put patients at ease, and inspire them to improve their oral and overall health. She is highly trained in cosmetic, therapeutic, and emergency dentistry, and is constantly looking to advance her clinical skills through continuing education. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of Facial Esthetics, the New York State Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Mattana also offers Botox therapy for the treatment of orofacial pain and migraines, and is certified through one of the country’s top injectable training programs for dentists, the American Academy of Facial Esthetics (AAFE). As an active member, she stays up-to-speed with the latest advances and techniques.
In her spare time, Dr. Mattana enjoys skiing, golfing, traveling, and cheering on the New Orleans Saints.

I set up an urgent appointment and was seen the same day with no issues. I was coming in to ask for a second opinion on my crown and Dr Zoe and team made sure to answer all my questions while acknowledging my concern. It was a better experience than my previous dentist so i will be switching to her for all my dental needs.

This was the best dental visit I’ve ever had. My dentist and dental technician were both clear about every step of my cleaning and consultation. The dentist also took the time to not only show me what she was seeing using three different types of photos/x-rays, but also explain what was going on, what next steps she was recommending, and why.
After the appointment the front desk team provided me with a full outline of my suggested care. They talked me through their value of the services, what my insurance coverage would be, and what my out of pocket expenses would be before I committed to the suggested care plan, and helped me schedule my next appointments right then. I could not recommend this place more!
Bottom line? If you’re looking for a new dentist who’s not only friendly, but knowledgeable and incredibly helpful, look no further!

Doctors office was lovely and was easy to find. Everyone was very helpful and kind and I loved it. This was my first time going to the dentist in New York and I was very impressed! There was even a tv I could watch during my appointment! Never had that before and I loved it!

I cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Mattana. I had fillings done and was very nervous because of negative experience (and that is putting it mildly) that I had when I had fillings done as a teenager. I barely felt a thing when she did the injections to numb the area and nearly fell asleep during the actual procedure. It honestly was almost meditative. If I had had a warm blanket, I would have snoozed! She was kind, efficient, thorough, and communicative. She employed simple, yet effective, techniques to minimize my discomfort. She gave me clear instructions to let her know if I felt any pain, which let me know that she 1. cared about my comfort and 2. would not continue to cause pain if she knew I was having it. She even did my procedure at 5:30PM to accommodate me, knowing that she would have to stay late at the office. I am very happy to have found a new dentist. Of note, I saw another wonderful dentist at City Smiles a few months ago. Good bunch overall.
