Very personable and professional Otherwise it’s too early to tell it was my first meeting but that was my take away.
Really smart, caring doctor. Efficient, fast, but not rushed. Thorough and covers all the bases.
Verified patient
He was so personable and reassuring. The only down side was the mix up of appointment times.
Verified patient
He's highly professional and spent a great deal of time with me. I was impressed.
Verified patient
Very pleased with his attentiveness and his ability to cut to the chase.

All you want from an urologist. Fast, thorough, non-intimidating.

He’s a fast talker which maybe unsettling to some people. I like him because if pressed he will explain things in detail and is receptive to my concerns. If you are a proactive patient you should have good relationship with him
Efficient and knowledgeable doctor. I had to wait a little over 30 minutes, but I understand the doctor was really busy seeing patients that day.
Verified patient
Dr.Motola definitely rushed the appointment did not allow me to appropriately ask my questions or express my concerns at all. I would not recommend this doctor.
Verified patient
He’s very bright, communicative and decisive.
Verified patient
This doctor was INSENSITIVE and hardly took the time to help the patient understand what was going on. He also had two female interns with him that he didn’t have the courtesy to ask if it was ok to join and observe the diagnosis. He also felt very DISTANT in his approach to making the patient feel comfortable. NO WAY I would recommend this guy to anyone, not even a remote chance.
The front desk experience is counter productive. I was asked to register at the kiosk and wait. This process was great until I was told I was told I still needed to fill out 12 pages of the same information. That wasn't the worse part. Dr. Motola came in the room fast talking me through my appointment as if he was a cheap car salesmen. While laying on the table he decides it would be appropriate to take call. I won't be returning.
He’s a very clear communicator

Efficient and to the point.
I waited for more than two hours due to a prior procedure going long, but Dr. Motola was very gracious and humble and apologized profusely. His amicable style and demure bedside manner made the long wait forgivable. Look forward to future visits with him.

Dr. Motola is fine - seems to know his stuff and asks good questions. As you can see in other reviews, the wait time here can be LONG and they do not update you in any way. I had to go to the desk after an hour to see if I fell off the list somehow. There was more waiting in the exam room. Leave plenty of time if you plan to see Dr. Motola.

Great doctor. Great front desk.
I scheduled to come see Dr. Motola going outside of my own healthcare system to have what could be a serious medical issue examined. I came in, filled out my paperwork and was escorted to the exam room. After the assistant took my vitals, she said the doctor was a little behind but would be in to see me in about 15 minutes. 30 minutes later no one had come in to give me an update. I came out of exam room and the assistant said I was the next to be seen and the doctor was finishing up with someone else. 25 minutes after that I came out of the exam room again and the assistant said he was finishing up with someone else and another patient was before me. I can not believe this is how an experienced doctor runs his practice at Mount Sinai. I will go back to NYU to receive proper care and attention.
I need more time to make this assessment.

Dr. Motola is great. No nonsense, knows what’s up, and can put me at ease. Also Shannon in his staff helped me out before the doctor came in, and she was just so nice! There’s nowhere to review the doctor’s staff here, so I just wanted to give her a shout out.
My appointment wasn't processed through ZocDoc and the doctor wasn't in the office the day it was scheduled. Get it together ZocDoc!
My dude was awesome. No nonsense. Knew what he was talking about. Was able to give me answers very quickly. And also good sense of humor.
Great, other than long wait.
Excellent doctor, very thorough and patient. Answered all my questions and concerns. I feel very confident being under his care.
Verified patient
Dr. Motola is fantastic - he explained everything in detail, with all the most recent information and studies at his fingertips. He was thorough, and very reassuring. I can't recommend him highly enough.
Professional and personable. Looks beyond the surface to treat cause not just symptoms. Obviously a born teacher as well as a doctor.
