Dr. Hertz and his wife Amy reside in Brooklyn, New York. He is a Vermont native, while his wife is originally from North Caldwell, NJ. Dr. Hertz completed his dental training at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, where he earned the prestigious Donald Greiner, D.D.S. Scholarship for academic excellence. He completed his residency at the Brooklyn Veterans Affairs Hospital, giving back to those who have given so much for our country. He has also donated his time and care to participants of the Special Olympics and the Mission of Mercy. Dr. Hertz has taken extensive continuing education in restorative dentistry and root canal treatment. “When I am not taking care of my patients at Dental Care, I enjoy playing golf and spending time with my wife, Amy, and dog, Rusty.”

My visit to Dental Care Basking Ridge was the best dental experience I've ever had for three reasons:
1. Customer service was excellent - very friendly and accommodating!
2. Quality of treatment was outstanding. The very latest in technology to make the patient experience the best it could be.
3. Value. First time I've ever had a health provider take the time to review with me in simple language how my insurance would cover X and I would be responsible for Y IF I chose to go forward with the recommended treatments. There was no pressure and it was an easy decision for me because they clearly showed me why they recommended what they did and their charges were very reasonable.

I had a great experience. The receptionists were friendly and were very accommodating even though I was a few moments late, I did call in advance to warn them of this. They took a few x-rays of my mouth and did a great job at cleaning. It was quick and relatively painless. The only gripe I had was when they were taking x-rays they seemed to have some difficulty with capturing the correct images and had to repeat them a few times.
