Beth Krone, PhD is a New York State Licensed Clinical Psychologist, and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. She currently serves on the Executive Board of the American Professional Society for ADHD and Related Disorders, and chairs their Social Media and Websites Committee, in addition to serving on the editorial board of their allied, peer-reviewed journal, The Journal of Attention Disorders.
Dr. Krone is a nationally regarded clinician, researcher. She has authored many well-regarded textbooks providing a lifespan perspective on ADHD for psychiatrists, psychologists, and for general medical education, including clinical and research perspectives on the association between ADHD and anxiety, depression, oppositional behaviors, and cognitive and learning problems. In addition to creating source materials for educating doctors nation-wide, Dr. Krone provides clinical supervision and didactics to psychologists and psychiatrists in their training programs. Her didactics span topics of neurobiological bases of developmental disorders, socio-cultural implications in development and trajectory of disability and wellness, clinical, cognitive, and neuropsychological psychometrics, research design, and outcomes assessment. She is an active researcher within an academic medical translational research setting, and has coauthored many well-cited, peer reviewed original research articles. She is also the author of scientific, clinical, and policy oriented blogs.
