The doctor was very professional and took his time explaining what the plan of care was. My questions were answered and the next step in my treatment was explained. It was my first visit and I was impressed. The waiting time needs to improve but it was worthwhile.

Firstly, this experience was a 100% improvement over the experience I had on Friday with another pain management doctor. The staff was conscientious, knowledgeable, and very polite. Dr. Tariq was kind, compassionate, and, even when he was hesitant to take me as a patient, told me he would fill my methadone prescription for a month giving me a chance to find a doctor that was more knowledgeable about my circumstances and thereby keeping me from going into a horriible withdrawal. Ultimately, he decided to "give it a try" to see if he could help me. A true credit to the profession. When you suffer from long term chronic illness you see a large number of clinicians over the years and this young doctor is everything described here on Zoc Doc. Thank you to him and his staff for the positive experience. Thank you to Zocdoc for helping find a pain management physician that was willing to see me in spite of my unique circumstances. A special thank you to Dr. Tariq's staff for "confirming" me as he said he may not have seen me had they not done that. Looking forward to my next appointment.

Doctor and staff were very friendly although I am a bit disappointed that he's not going to continue following the treatment plan that worked well for me under the prior doctor I had for a decade in the state from which I moved. The wait time was not bad. Another downside was no one returned telephone calls I made, even though I left a message asking them to.

Hey was Great really spent the time with me and made feel comfortable about the medications we are going to use and that I do not want to feel like Zombie. Staff was very nice and even had computer and printers problems (Monday)..They apologize for it.

He is an excellent physician with a heart of gold. He is referring me to another PM specialist since I am beyond injections and so forth but was very supportive. We need more physicians of his caliber especially in PM. I am at a point in my injury where pain management (medications) is all that is left a very complex case which has progressed to Central Pain Syndrome, He wrote some of my medication with a referral to an associate who handles cases like mine as a professional nurse I am much impressed; his office staff were friendly and kind, and the office was spacious.

On my next app. I'll make sure to take a pair of wings for Dr. Tariq, because he's an angel on earth! I had to wait a little bit because the internet was down, but it was worthy. First, his nurse, Darlene, was approachble and kind, and Dr. Tariq was absolutely professional, he is caring, a great listener, a gentleman when it comes for bedside manner, and most of all, he treated me with dignity and respect. I had my previous Dr. for several years, but due to insurance changes, I had to look for a new one and I was kind of afraid because when you have a Dr. for several years, you develop a relationship and I was afraid I was going to be judged or worst, not be able to find a compassionate Doctor. Well, this was not the case. Dr. Fariq has true compassion for his patients and is really concerned about their well-being. Highly recommended. Thank you!

Dr. Tariq performed a very thorough, focused examination and fully explored my history before arriving at a plan for me, which he took the time to explain fully, making sure I understood. He was very compassionate and friendly, while flawlessly professional. I have a lumbar fusion from L4-S1, with a cage built at the base of the spine. I would recommend Dr Tariq to anyone who is fed up with doctors who don't have compassion, listening skills or a good bedside manner. My appointment today was a breath of fresh air. He is not a doctor who is looking to run up the bill with crazy procedures. He listened to my background and what works best for me. I was shocked that he didn't feel pressure to rush my appointment and he was genuinely concerned about all the struggles I had over the past 8 years with the pain, another PM doctors and surgeons. Another pain management doctor told me that he would not follow a simple medication plan from my former out of state pain management doctor that was treating me prior to my return to Houston because of some DEA song and dance. Dr. Tariq told me that he was concerned with my past 4 surgeries in less than 4 months last year. Just from looking at the horrific mess I had been in last year, he wouldn't even talk right now about putting me thru anything like an injection or any other procedures right now. Simply put, he did a complete exam of me, listened to my history and placed me on the regimen of pain management therapy that is best for me. I am very pleased with the whole experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well. Excellent doctor!!!!!
