Very disappointing that:
1. Dr. entered room not knowing why I was there. Thought it was for my finger - it was for my back!
2. Quite upset that while I brought in a previous MRI disc and report at my last visit - I discovered that neither the doctor or assistant had actually scanned/copied it into my chart. Therefore he could not reference it today. The receptionist told me that was something She usually did - but no one told me to hand it to the receptionist for scanning.

Dr. Piza has treated my right rotator cuff and also shredded labrum tendons in both arms so successfully in the past, and I completely respect and trust him enough to take care of my painful left shoulder now. He really is the best!

I came in for 2 reasons:
- Intense chronic shoulder pain that gets in the way of daily activities
- Recent stress injury to my forearm, which was strong enough that pressing the soap dispenser hurt. After a full month of intense pain & not being able to use my arm, I realize this isn't going away on its own and seek medical help.
SHOULDERS:
He didn't even look at or feel my shoulders. He said "Even if you get an MRI, and we see there's a tear, what are you gonna do, get surgery?"
Um, ok? He was extremely uninterested & dismissive.
This has been bothering me for the past 18 years. Thanks for caring.
FOREARM:
Turns out the forearm was tendonitis. He gave me a brace to wear as much as possible for 2 weeks. On day 2, after sleeping with it, I called in because I had lost feeling in my thumb from it.
I was supposed to get a call back about that. Did I? Nope.
Also, you know what finally did help a LOT? Something as simple as ice & anti-inflammatory over-the-counter medicine. Did he tell me to do that? No. I found this out myself by searching the internet and I finally have relief.
What do I take from it?
- Overall he seemed uninterested & like he just wanted to go home.
- He did not do ANYTHING that actually helped me.
- I helped myself more my searching Google.
- His brace made me lose feeling in my thumb & no one called me back.
- I wouldn't say that he was rude, so his bedside manner wasn't "bad" but he just didn't care. Very dismissive.
- I wasted a co-pay.
Would I ever go back? HECK NO.
