More about Dr. Aaron Leshikar, DPM
Dr. Aaron J. Leshikar joined Wilmington Health in November 2021. He completed a three-year Reconstructive Rear-foot and Ankle surgical residency at St. Vincent Hospital, a level 1 trauma hospital, in Indianapolis, Indiana. While at St. Vincent’s, Dr. Leshikar received extensive training in Charcot reconstruction, limb salvage, and pediatric flatfoot reconstruction. He is well versed in the latest surgical techniques as well as conservative management of trauma-related foot and ankle injuries. He is very experienced with all common foot and ankle conditions.
Dr. Leshikar earned his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine in 2014.
Dr. Leshikar has a dedication to getting his patients back on their feet as fast as possible; so they can be living their best lives and doing what they enjoy. Dr. Leshikar played college basketball and soccer and his understanding of athletic performance is certainly an asset in treating his patients/athletes. He is professionally interested in sports medicine, minimally invasive surgical techniques, wound care, limb salvage /reconstruction, and diabetic foot care.
Dr. Leshikar is a Board Certified Wound Physician by the ABWM.
