Dr. Allen is the Director of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Clinic and Assistant Professor at Mount Sinai in the Leni and Peter W. May Department of Orthopaedics. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine and completed her residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Emory University. During her residency, she was selected for one of the most prestigious pediatric orthopaedic fellowships in the country at Rady Children's Hospital, affiliated with the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Allen's clinical interests include scoliosis, hip disorders, fracture care, and other pediatric conditions. She has presented at meetings both nationally and internationally, including in China, Honduras, and Austria. Dr. Allen is a member of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America.

I highly recommend Dr. Allen for your children. She is very compassionate, patient , nice , and an excellent doctor. My 3 yr old daughter was freaking out and crying a lot when she realize she was at doctor office as she has white coat syndrome but Dr. Allen made her so comfortable and she diagnose and treated her condition in such a pleasant manner that my daughter gave her a big hug and was so happy .

Great bedside manner with my 5yo child. Excellent energy and provided clear suggestions.
Although waiting area on floor was well organized for social distancing, it was more crowded than I would have preferred, especially with a young child. The team was very good to create a separate place for her.

Disappointed. Doctor was friendly but did not seem to take my daughter's dislocated shoulder very seriously, so we wasted time getting physical therapy. Eventually we had to go to another physician. The office was not responsive when called repeatedly regarding miscodings which led to headaches with insurance company.
