Excellent experience.
The only glitch was my lack of awareness about the effect of having my eyes dilated.
I hadn't experienced that in a long time and wasn't aware of the time it would take to wear off.

My experience going to Dr. Award’s office for the first time was certainly a positive one.
The staff is very friendly and organized, the office is nice and clean, the doctor takes time doing the necessary eye exams and then he gives you a thorough explanation and recommendations without feeling rushed.
I’m very pleased to have chosen this office for my eye care.

Abraham Awad, OD, Director of Optometric Services at the Laser Eye Center of Miami has extensive experience in managing refractive surgery and LASIK patients pre and post operatively. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, VA. Dr. Awad worked several years at the prestigious King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital in Saudi Arabia. Then, he attended Southeastern University College of Optometry where he received his Doctorate of Optometry degree. In 1992 Dr. Awad was awarded The Bausch & Lomb Contact Lens Award. In 1993 he was awarded The Alcon Contact Lens Award and The Wesley-Jessen Contact Lens Clinical Practice Award. Dr. Awad is a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa honor society and The American Academy of Optometry.

The doctor and staff were very professional in their assessment and treatment. The tone of the office asserted professionalism, but lacked sympathetic care.
I was alarmed and disappointed at the lack of concern at after having my eyes dilated for an examination, to then be released without any protection against glare, a condition they must have been aware would happen.
I drove 10 miles from my home to ensure I kept the appointment and was left stranded in my car until the dilation wore off sufficiently for me to drive myself home.
I don't think I'll go back.

Dr. Abraham is the best. I would not trust my vision to anyone else. I do not live in the area anymore, however, I drive across Florida to Miami for my appointments.

Both doctors were great with my kids, but they tend to take forever. I think they see other patients while they wait for your eyes to dialate. Not sure, but kids have zero patience and started singing willing songs at the top of their lungs in the office today. My suggestion is to bring stuff to do for them :)
