Dr. Green received his MD degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He completed his pediatric residency at Jacobi Hospital Medical Center and the Hospital of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he served as the chief resident of the Department of Pediatrics. He is board certified in pediatrics and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Green was awarded the Nassau County Department of Health Certificate of Recognition, the New York State Department of Health Certificate of Excellence, and Oxford Health Plan's "Gold Standard" in patient satisfaction.
Dr. Green co-founded PHLI in 1983 and has been listed in New York Magazine's Best Doctors Guide since 1997, Consumer's Research Council of America's Guide to America's Top Pediatricians and Castle Connolly’s Top Doctors for the past ten years. His areas of special interest are ADHD, asthma, gastro-esophageal reflux, nutrition and fitness. Dr. Green is married, has five children and three grandchildren. He enjoys weight lifting, bicycle riding, jogging, reading and gardening.
