I had some very last minute medical requirements that I needed taken care of for work. Dr. Welle went out of his way to make sure I was able to get it all completed. He is very friendly, funny, and smart. He made a very stressful few days much easier to handle.

Dr. Welle completed his undergraduate studies at George Washington University with a BS in Electrical Engineering. He went on to Eastern Virginia Medical Shcool (EVMS) at Norfolk, VA to pursue his medical degree. He did his 3-year residency in Internal Medicine at the New York Medical College, Queens and completed a fellowship in Geriatrics at New York Methodist, Brooklyn.
Dr Welle is currently a hospitalist and a teaching attending at Washington Hospital Center. He has been with the hospital since July, 2009. He was also a part of the Hospital's Pharmacy and Therapeutic Committee. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
Patients who require/are interested only in controlled medications will be referred to a specialist; Dr. Welle's primary focus is not in chronic pain management and as such does not usually prescribe these medications

His office personnel must be a relative, a favor for a friend or something. There were so many errors from the time I first went through ZocDoc to get an appointment -the time I was seen today. It appears they were in a transition from one location to another, they didn't confirm my original appointment because their systems were down. Once their system was up and they sent a confirmation of my appointment it provided their old address, my husband and I went to the old address first and called them to confirm the address. Did I not mention by this time i spoke with the doctor twice over the phone and at no time did he provide me with his new address. I think they need to realize when you have a new patient it is extremely important to make a call to confirm the location and any questions and or concerns. Once we arrived we waited an additional 40 minutes before we were called. Then I was seen by a student nurse practitioner who didn't have the foresight to share with me my vitals. The doctor himself had a decent bedside manner. I wouldn't recommend new patients to his office until they raise their level of professionalism.he personnel being hired should have the credentials, professionalism, and compassion to treat patients well. I need to locate an internist with Saturday hours and a higher quality of professionalism.

Therected was no problem with the doctor. My problem was with your site. I was in search of a Rheumatologist. Your site lead me to this doctor. He is a family doctor. I drove 45 miles for nothing. I will not be referring anyone to your site.

After the nurse practitioner took some info on me, he brought up every remark I made and explained exactly why he didn't think I was having a heart attack. He is the only doctor that showed me a heart model and educated me on what causes a heart attack and the risk factors.
You should definitely book him because he is one of the doctors that doesn't rush his patients and speaks in a way both parties can understand!
